One cannot miss the eye-popping, vibrant colors of Peranakan culture, especially those painted on the facades of the heritage shophouses that dot the island of Singapore.
Whether you're a Peranakan culture lover or seeking color inspiration for your home, I thought it would be useful to list some of these color palettes with their hex codes* to refer to.
Hex codes are mainly used in web and digital design but can be easily converted to RGB, CMYK and Pantone numbers for your design projects.
I pulled these colors from an incredible 'bird and flower' beaded tablecloth hand embroidered with hundreds of thousands of tiny glass beads (but who's counting!?) housed at The Peranakan Museum.
These selections are my personal interpretations, if you have suggestions, let me know!
